Special Operations


Elite shinobi, the best of the best. In this times of tension each village has produced within itself a new organization to deal with threats to their safety. Each village has carefully selected shinobi with skills that stand out from the pack to suit the needs of these organizations. They take on tougher missions than the normal shinobi populace of the same rank and risk their lives everyday to maintain order, gain intelligence, advance their wealth, or simply because it is a major part of their philosophy to do so. The life of a special operations shinobi is even more dangerous than that of the shinobi norm, and may get you well acquainted with the spirit of death on numerous occasion. However, this is what the world demands of them. What the world will demand of you, should you choose to join their ranks. The job isn't easy, but if you think you can handle it Welcome to Special Ops.

Basic Rules
  • Leaders retain the right to exile a member of their respective special operations force for breaking one of their rules, or unsatisfactory mission results. Leaders can themselves only be ousted via their supervisor or superior finding them incapable of leadership, aka the Admins evaluate them via the NPC Kages or the High Priestess in the Zealots case.
  • Exiled members may appeal and complete a new and much harder entrance exam to attempt to be allowed back into their special ops group, but this is subject to admin evaluation just like the initial entrance exam. However, readmitted members can no longer make claims for the leadership position should it become available. If the member is exiled from the group a second time, then they are exiled permanently and can no longer become a special operations member.
  • Spec ops members that commit treason can be executed either publicly or secretly when caught. The member is question that committed treason only has one escape chance before the execution goes through.
  • Spec ops members are able to go on missions one rank higher than other shinobi of the equivalent rank.

Symbol: A Burning Leaf.
Motto/Philosophy: "Kishi Kaisei (Wake from death and return to life)." [Meaning: To come out of a desperate situation and make a complete return in one sudden burst.]

ANBU Mask
Type: Head Gear

Requirements: ANBU Only
Description: The ANBU mask's main purpose is to hide the user's identity, even within his own village. Appearing as white Hanya masks, the ANBU mask is made of a special material that cannot be seen through by anything, not even doujutsu like the Byakugan. Making it ideal for the purposes of hiding an ANBU members identity. It is a symbol that inspires fear in enemies, while allies realize them as an elite and 'necessary evil'. The masks are not allowed to be customized as keeping the uniformity of the ANBU is one of it's greatest principles.
Special: This item is granted free of cost to all who become ANBU. It must still go through a shop transaction, regardless.

ANBU Vest
Type: Body Gear
Slot: Armor Outside
Requirements: ANBU Only
Description: A light weight yet durable armor used by ANBU members, that offers more protection than the common Flak Jacket. It grants extra protection to its user as well as allowing maximum mobility. User gets +15 to Sta Pool, +3 Dex and a Sheath Socket. Light projectiles that are not enhanced by an element have no effect on this armor and will simply bounce off.
Special: This item is granted free of cost to all who become ANBU. It must still go through a shop transaction, regardless.

Fūinjutsu: Hi no Kurai Ishi • [Sealing Technique: Dark Will of Fire]
Ninjutsu, Kinjutsu, Fūin, Supplementary, A Rank
Requirements: ANBU Captain Only.
Cost: Done via RP.
Description: A seal giving ANBU their mark as the 'necessary evil'. This seal in the left shoulder of the ANBU operative in questions marks them as a member of the elite squad but also holds a dark meaning behind it. It's a symbol of extreme loyalty, but also danger and death as that is the only way this seal will vanish. The seal appears as a small burning leaf on the bearers left shoulder.
Special: This jutsu is passed down through the Rank of ANBU Captain, and is gained free of charge by person of said rank. It must still go through a shop transaction regardless. The ANBU Captain does not need to know the sealing skill to use this technique. This technique may only be used during the initiation of new ANBU members.

Hi no Kurai Ishi • [Dark Will of Fire]
Ninjutsu, Fūin, Supplementary, A Rank
Requirements: ANBU Only.
Cost: 20 Cha.
Description: The tattoo on the left shoulder of the ANBU operative holds a dark purpose. When activated the seal begins to literally explode into dark flames utterly burning and destroying the body of the operative to ashes. This seal can be activated by the bearers own will but will also automatically activate upon death of an ANBU operative, in order to hide all secrets that the person or their body may know. It requires no hand seals and can activate without warning. The seal also prevents ALL other sealing techniques from taking root on the ANBU operatives body, protecting them from Fuinjutsu and Juinjutsu completely.
Special: This jutsu is granted free of cost to all who become ANBU. It must still go through a shop transaction regardless,as well as the sealing event Rped.

Kareha • [Dead Leaf]
Active, Taijutsu Style, B Rank
Requirements: Advanced Taijutsu Skill, 45 Strength, 45 Dexterity
Description: 'Subdue your target as quickly as possible.' Dead Leaf is a style devised by the Konoha ANBU to quickly subdue their targets. Dead Leaf utilizes manipulation of pressure points and the structural weaknesses of the body frame to control their target. It is a style composed of well-placed strikes towards the bodies weak points and control grappling (joint locks) to quickly and efficiently take control of any situation. While utilizing the style, the user strikes at +15 Strength and Dexterity but loses 5 Stamina per combo. Opponents suffer -2 stamina per strike.
Note: Stamina cost overrides base costs for your taijutsu skill level(Basic - Legendary)
Special: This style does not count towards the "Weapon Skill" groups or "Taijutsu Style" limits. This style is granted free of cost to all who become ANBU, once they meet the requirements. It must still go through a shop transaction regardless, as well as the learning of it Rped.


Description/Purpose: Being that Konoha is all about being law abiding and diplomatic and all, this squad would be for it's 'deniable ops' as in those darker missions that the village claims never happened and don't speak of. That's the reason for their symbol being the mask when on a mission, so that the citizens don't know of the more 'evil' things their shinobi do to keep the peace even if they happened to see one performing such an act. They will do the assassination missions, and other darker missions that don't really fit Konoha's Code of Conduct but are a 'necessary evil' for it to maintain it's status and laws.
Entrance Exam: Test of morals, conviction, and will power given by the ANBU Captain. Applicants will have to prove they know right from wrong while still taking on the role of a 'necessary evil' for Konoha. The Hokage will modify the memories of failed applicants, as they know to much.
Rules of the ANBU:
  • If you are captured Konohagakure will disavow all knowledge of your existence and activities.
  • If captured do not give out any information about anything.Yourself, the village, your mission, nothing.
  • Once you start an ANBU assignment and put your mask on you are nobody and will remain as such until your objectives are complete.

Jōhōbu Mask
Type: Head Gear

Requirements: Jōhōbu Only
Description: The Jōhōbu mask's main purpose is to hide the user's identity, while on a mission. these white masks in the shape of a Kitsune along with their cloaks keep the masters of stealth that Jōhōbu operatives are trained to be from being recognized. Each mask has a varying degree of marks upon them, ranging from none to nine, nine signifying the highest rank amongst them. It is an allusion to a Fox's tails, nine representing the wisest and oldest of the foxes. Operatives do not receive their first "tail" until their first successful mission as Jōhōbu. The masks are made of a special material which when worn begins to exude a soothing and charming aura, compelling people to avoid them and not interfere with or follow them though the exceptionally curious may be able to force themselves past this. Each mask is made especially for the person who wears it, and is familiar with their chakra, and will not activate its special ability for anyone but the person it was made for.

Night Shroud
Type: Body Gear
Slot: Accessory
Requirements: Jōhōbu Only
Description: A lightweight cloak with a black outside and a white inside coloring, but is reversible and can be worn either way. Used by Jōhōbu members to help them blend into crowds in any situation. It is made out of a special fiber known as chakra weave which gives its surface a slight reflective property, making the average persons eyes naturally shy away from them, while seals woven into the cloaks block out chakra. This allows the wearer of said cloak to go undetected by chakra sensors, however Doujutsu that can see chakra will likely recognize that the person is not giving off any chakra, and mentally register them as suspicious. Raises the chances of a successful forced entry/infiltration attempt by 5%
Special: This item is granted free of cost to all who become Jōhōbu . It must still go through a shop transaction, regardless.

Mental Fortitude
Type: Passive; RP Skill; Special Skill; A Rank
Gained Through: Training via RP as Jōhōbu member.
Description: Extensively trained to endure the most dastardly mental torture so they do not reveal who they work for or any other related information should they get caught, gain strength from their resolve and survival. User gains +10 Gen when under the effects of Genjutsu as a Mental Defense, and is immune to The Art of The Interrogation • [Ninpou, Jinmon no Jutsu].
Special: This skill is granted free of cost to all who become Jōhōbu . It must still go through a shop transaction regardless.

Mushō • [Vanishing Mist]
Active, Taijutsu Style, B Rank
Requirements: Advanced Taijutsu Skill, 60 Dexterity, 30 Strength
Description: "Evade and counter with your targets own force." Mushō is strictly a grapple and counter-reactive style based on stealth, efficiency, evasion and countering multiple opponents all while using minimal effort. Mushō is strictly non-lethal and specifically designed for disadvantageous situations and situations that require silence: the style employs throws, takedowns, joint-locks, holds and superior footwork. There are absolutely no strikes in this style. Generally, Mushō mainly focuses on using an opponent's own momentum against them, redirecting the force of their attacks into another direction or even other people. While using this style defend or grapple, the user gains +18 dexterity and loses 8 strength. User spends 4 Stamina per combo.
Note: Stamina cost overrides base costs for your taijutsu skill level(Basic - Legendary)

Description/Purpose: An elite stealth and intelligence gathering force. This team will be designed to perform all of it's operations in the shadows, from stealing intelligence to assassination if need be. They will help Kiri deal with outside threats with constant influxes of information so that the village is not infected or invaded by foreign ideals/forces.
Entrance Exam: A test of resolve, survival, and intellect given by the Jōhōbu Director.
Rules of the Jōhōbu:
  • If you are caught reveal no information about your task, why you are there, or other relevant information.
  • Reveal nothing that can compromise the director or a fellow Jōhōbu member.
  • Always have reliable information network. Anything you learn needs to be confirmed as fact.
  • Information learned must make its way back to the director somehow.
  • Stealth and Inconspicuousness. Avoid combat if possible.

Fūinjutsu: Raijin no Shukufuku • [Sealing Technique: Thunder God's Blessing]
Ninjutsu, Kinjutsu, Fūin, Supplementary, A Rank
Requirements: Zealot Archbishop Only
Cost: Done via RP.
Description: The Seal of Raijin. This ritual takes place atop the temple of Raijin during a thunder storm. The Zealot Archbishop will then gather their chakra into their hands and dip them into a golden ink that is housed in the temple made with flakes of gold. They will then draw the tattoo of a Mitsu Tomoe around the right eye of the potential bearer. The Zealot Archbishop will then perform a few hand seals after which the potential bearer will be struck by lightning and the tattoos burned into their flesh via the electricity and infusing them with the blessing of Raijin. After the seal has been placed it will always emit a faint golden glow electrical power. This has 0% chance of failure, but a 10% chance of death in which case the seal will electrocute and burn away the body anyways.
Special: This jutsu is passed down through the Rank of Zealot Archbishop, and is gained free of charge by person of said rank. The Zealot Archbishop does not require the sealing skill to use this jutsu. This just cannot be used outside of new Zealot initiation topics. It must still go through a shop transaction regardless.

Raijin no Shukufuku • [Thunder God's Blessing]
Ninjutsu, Fūin, Supplementary, A Rank
Requirements: Zealot Only.
Cost: 14 Cha + 4 Cha per turn.
Description: The seal that the Zealot possesses will release the power of Raijin stored inside them, glowing brightly and pouring out electrical energy which surrounding the bearers entire body with a golden aura of crackling electricity. This increases the bearer's chakra pool by +25. The Zealot must pick which stat is their designated choice when requesting this jutsu. It also causes all of the Zealot's taijutsu attacks to do a small amount of electrical damage causing small burns to their targets. Also when the bearer of this seal dies the seal will light up and electrocute the lifeless body burning it and all of its belongings to ashes in mere seconds.
Special: After two turns you must pay 10 Stamina to Deactivate the seal, for every turn after the second turn the cost increases by 5. This item is granted free of cost to all who become a Zealot. It must still go through a shop transaction, regardless and the Ritual to gain the seal must be Rped. Makes the bearer incompatible with Cursed Quartet Cursed Seals.

Zealot Taiko
Type: Arm Gear
Slot: Arm
Requirements: Zealot Only
Description: A string of prayer beads made out of small Raijin Taiko drums. When combined with the activation of Raijin no Shukufuku • [Thunder God's Blessing] they glow with power and allow the wearer to use Ninjutsu at a reduced cost of 5 chakra as long as the seal is active.
Special: This item is granted free of cost to all who become a Zealot. It must still go through a shop transaction, regardless.

Banrai • [Heavy Thunder]
Active, Taijutsu Style, B Rank
Requirements: Advanced Taijutsu Skill, 60 Strength, 30 Dexterity
Description: 'Destroy all that oppose us.' A style based on powerful strikes. Strong fists, breaking bones, and using strong stances to solidify the bodies power for the next blow. This style though non-lethal is meant to disable through pure force, via powerful strikes that break down or damage the opponents body in such ways that they either succumb to unconsciousness via pain or just aren't able to move due to the extent of damage they have received. the Path of the Zealot is to strike down Raijin's enemies without mercy and leave them at the brink of death for him to finish off at his own whim. User gets +20 Strength, +8 Dexterity but loses 6 Stamina per combo. Stamina cost overrides base costs for your taijutsu skill level(Basic - Legendary)
Special: This style does not count towards the "Weapon Skill" groups or "Taijutsu Style" limits. This style is granted free of cost to all who become Zealot, once they meet the requirements. It must still go through a shop transaction regardless, as well as the learning of it Rped.


Description/Purpose: Being that the Zealot Archbishop and Raikage work together to run Kumogakure and keep Raijin's chosen people happy, the elite ninja are chosen to be given battle and religious training effectively making them battle priests. These elite ninja not only posses training and skill above the common shinobi but are devout practitioners and preachers of the Raijin philosophy. They will act as bodyguards to the Zealot Archbishop during diplomatic travel, and other high level nobles of Kaminari no Kuni. To be eligible the shinobi must show great faith in Raijin and great competence and skill in battle. (no characters who secretly don't believe and all that, or have never even mentioned having faith at all.)
Entrance Exam: A varying test of religious faith and combat prowess administered by the Zealot Arcbishop.
Rules of the Zealots:
  • Loyalty to Raijin and Kumogakure above all else.
  • Raijin's chosen Zealots never back down, surrender, or retreat.
  • Raijin's will is never wrong, follow your orders without question.
  • Non-believers either repent or are destroyed by your own hands.
  • The punishment for interfering with Raijin's will is death.
  • No fighting amongst your chosen brethren. Sparring is still allowed.
  • Daily training and prayer are mandatory.
